
JAVIER'S BIO

Javier Leal was born in Monterrey, Mexico and lived a great part of his childhood in the UK where he started playing keyboards at age 10, he then switched to electric guitar at the age of 14. Early on he developed a passion for instrumental rock guitar music, among his many guitar influences are Allan Holdsworth, Brett Garsed, George Bellas, Greg Howe, Pat Metheny, Shawn Lane, Yngwie Malmsteen, Tony Macalpine and many more.
Javier´s work with mexican guitarist Marco Ferrigno took off with their first project "The Quest" in 2000, which was featured by Geroge Bellas in his website. Teaming up with Marco complemented their styles and abilities and they produced the follow up record "Promised Land" in collaboration with piano and keyboard virtuoso Vitalij Kuprij. This set the stage for working on another Lion Music Record Label release and collaborating with many great musicians such as Jon Doman, Marco Minnemann, Philip Bynoe and Tony Franklin.
Javier is currently living in Monterrey, Mexico, with his wife and 4 children. At the present Javier is working on the final stage of mixing and mastering for his most recent LP. It is a collaboration with Marco Renteria (Bass) and Louie Palmer (Drums)..
